The Round Holly
A stylish canvas dome that blends comfort with breathability—perfect for couples’ escapes and year-round glamping.
A Breathable, All-Season Glamping Dome
Geodesic domes are one of the most popular glamping units on the market right now. Unfortunately, those made from PVC don’t tend to regulate temperatures well. From experience, it can feel like you’re trying to sleep in a greenhouse. The Round Holly is different. With the primary material being a breathable cotton canvas membrane, this glamping tent/dome hybrid achieves the best of both worlds by being both stylish and practical.
Like the Oak, it also comes with optional insulation to make it a glamping dome for all seasons. Plus you can choose pretty much any color you like – no more white, cookie-cutter domes!

The Luxury Dome Tent
The Round Holly is our luxury dome tent. With its domed appearance, the tent really gives a sense of coziness regardless of the location. Depending on your needs, the Round Holly is suitable for two to four people, and can be furnished with a lovely double bed, shower and even a kitchen. On the outside, the dome still includes the distinguishable canopy of a De Waard tent, providing additional outdoor living space. Both inside and outside, the Round Holly is an amazing addition to any campsite.
It’s All About the Canvas
What sets a dome tent from De Waard apart from the competition? We are one of the few, if not the only, manufacturer to use polyester-cotton canvas. The cotton provides the canvas a breathable element, which means it doesn’t quickly become stuffy inside the tent, ensuring a pleasant living environment on hot and humid days. In addition, the tent has a moisture-regulating effect: moisture and condensation are wicked away, so guests aren’t bothered by moisture inside the unit. All of our canvas come with fire rating certifications and have an antimicrobial coating to secure the longevity of the canvas.
Extend Your Rental Season with Insulation!
On the inside of the Round Holly, you can add an insulating inner canvas. At low temperatures this canvas keeps the cold out, in higher temperatures it protects against the heat. This allows you to rent out the tent earlier in the spring and longer in the autumn, so you can welcome your guests for an even longer period of time.
It also allows you to keep energy costs lower since the internal temperature won’t fluctuate as drastically as in a PVC Dome.
Your Dome, Your Way!
The Round Holly offers many design options for furnishing. For example in the picture below we designed a layout where guests can enjoy the entire dome from their bed in the middle of the tent. With a full private bathroom, plenty of storage space for luggage and even a luxury lounger for enjoying the view outside. These domes are a blank canvas, waiting for you to add your personal design touch.Â
The Round Holly is suitable for two people. It is also possible to add an optional cot in the same room. The tent consists of an open space, which means there are a lot of options when playing around with the layout and walls. Do you have any specific wishes? Please let us know, and we will be all too happy to come up with ideas.
The inherent versatility of the Round Holly allows for a truly adaptable glamping setup. By considering its design and potential add-ons, you can create an inviting space that appeals to guests across different seasons. The optional insulation is a key feature for extending the rental period, but thoughtful interior design also plays a crucial role in making the space feel cozy and welcoming, regardless of the external temperature, and exploring creative structure strategies can further enhance guest comfort.
When furnishing your Round Holly, consider how to best utilize the circular space for maximum comfort and utility. Think about multi-functional furniture and strategic placement to create distinct living, sleeping, and even small dining areas. For those looking to create a truly immersive experience, exploring Creative Lodging options can provide inspiration for unique interior layouts that complement the dome's architecture.
To further enhance the appeal of your glamping site, consider the broader context of your offerings. Investing in well-designed structures is just one part of the equation. Understanding how your glamping units fit into the larger landscape of Glamping and outdoor hospitality can help you attract a wider audience.
Here are some key areas to consider for optimizing your Round Holly:
- Interior Layout: Plan for efficient use of space, perhaps incorporating a dedicated sleeping area, a small lounge, and storage.
- Climate Control: Utilize the optional insulation and consider supplemental heating or cooling solutions if in extreme climates.
- Ambiance: Soft lighting, comfortable bedding, and tasteful decor can significantly enhance the guest experience within the Round Holly.
- Outdoor Living: Leverage the exterior canopy for additional seating or a protected outdoor cooking area.
